These two pairs of finely made fibre Dance Ornaments are from the Santa Cruz Islands group in the Temotu Province in the Solomon Islands.
These beautifully made ornaments are made from cut leaves and then painted with traditional designs, they then have soft stringy fibre at the back of the decorated part.
The people that live in this part of the Solomon Islands are of Polynesian decent part of the great navigation and settlement of the Pacific Islands by Polynesian people who were great marine navigators.
One of the most well known Dance Clubs in the Solomon Islands is the Canoe Shaped wood dance club from the SAnta Cuz Islands called Napa. I will be listing my Napa Dance Club Soon
